One upload, two deliveries: the pixel-exact digital file and a 300 dpi print-ready sheet.
What each line means
Printed size — print at exactly 35 × 45 mm. A few millimetres off and most offices hand the form back before anything else is checked.
Digital size — the digital file must measure 413 × 531 px. Anything smaller gets refused by many online systems before a person sees it.
Background — a plain White background, with no shadows or gradients. A wall lit unevenly is the fastest route to a refusal.
Resolution — 300 dpi keeps a face sharp in print. Below that, features soften and agencies ask for a retake.
Recency — Within 30 days. Hair, glasses and weight change faster than people assume, and the officer compares the photo with you at the counter.
Glasses / expression — glare on lenses hides the eyes, and hidden eyes are an automatic rejection in most systems. If you wear glasses, read this line twice.

How to take a Mexico Passport Photo with your phone
Photo age and size
The Mexican passport photo is 35×45 mm on white and must be taken within 30 days of the application. Most countries accept six months of freshness; Mexico asks for the month, so a spare photo from an earlier application does not qualify.
Glasses requirements
The requirement excludes glasses entirely. Whatever the prescription, the shot is planned without them, and the digital file follows the same rule at 413×531 px.
Setup and lighting
White wall, frontal light, phone level with the eyes. Take the photo in the same week as the appointment; the 30-day window can close when paperwork stalls.
Preset output
The preset cuts the exact 35×45 mm rectangle on white and exports the 413×531 px digital upload. Head position, background and ratio are checked against the registered spec.
Why Mexico Passport Photo gets rejected
Photo age
A photo older than 30 days is refused on its date alone. Take the photo in the application month.
Glasses in frame
Any glasses in frame fail the Mexican photo, clear lenses included, regardless of frame or prescription.
Common rejection reasons
Smiles that reshape the face, hair across the forehead, and shadows on the white wall are standard refusals on a 35×45 canvas.
