One upload, two deliveries: the pixel-exact digital file and a 300 dpi print-ready sheet.
What each line means
Printed size — print at exactly 35 × 45 mm. A few millimetres off and most offices hand the form back before anything else is checked.
Digital size — the digital file must measure 413 × 531 px. Anything smaller gets refused by many online systems before a person sees it.
Background — a plain White background, with no shadows or gradients. A wall lit unevenly is the fastest route to a refusal.
Resolution — 300 dpi keeps a face sharp in print. Below that, features soften and agencies ask for a retake.

How to take a Thailand Visa Photo with your phone
Thailand visa photo size by application route
The Thailand visa photo depends on the route: the standard tourist and business application takes 35×45 mm on white, while the Non-Immigrant O-A long-stay visa names a larger 40×60 mm frame. Check which one your form asks for before you shoot.
Why the two sizes are not interchangeable
The O-A frame is taller as well as wider — five millimetres wider and fifteen taller than the standard rectangle. Stretching a 35×45 mm shot up to fill it destroys resolution, and cropping down loses the frame the officer measures. Shoot fresh for whichever size your application names.
Requirements common to both routes
Plain white background, even frontal light, neutral expression, no headwear; eyes on the lens and the face square to the camera. Half a metre from the wall, phone at eye level, a little headroom above the hair.
What the tool outputs
The tool crops to the exact 35×45 mm rectangle at 300 dpi, flattens the background to white, and checks ratio and background before download; an O-A file needs the larger frame prepared as its own size.
Why Thailand Visa Photo gets rejected
Wrong frame size
The fault that bites here is choosing the wrong frame: a 35×45 mm print submitted for an O-A application that names 40×60 mm, or the reverse. The rectangle is measured before the photo itself.
Background and light
Shadowed or tinted backgrounds, gradients, off-centre faces. Give the backdrop even light. Once one side falls into shade, the background is no longer plain.
Stretched images, glare and blur
Stretched images, glare on glasses, and blur all hold up an application, and no measurement in millimetres catches them.
